List of exams for BTech or BE students/passouts

Hey guys people were always asking me about upcoming exams..like as if im an examnerd or somethng..for notice : i hate exams !!

anyway i did some search in the net and saw that tho many has posted for a complete list of exams available for btech passouts..theresnt any !hers a small list for reference..it wil include dates in 2009..so that even in future u can know that the exams will be held at around that time of the year…also DO point out any mistakes in this small list and do notify me or comment about any exam thatisnot in the list..anyway the exams mentioned here are the ones and that too the most prominent ones  a person with minm Btech can apply for the courses or jobs the MOST suitable for him/her(do point errors in list !!)

MBA/PGDM admissions: The most important exams are the CAT and the MAT ofcourse.nearly all the bschools in India admit students based on the score in them.

January 25, 2009—- Faculty of management studies entrance exam (FMS,New delhi)

8 FEB,2009:                ATMA – AIMS Test for Management Admissions

06 September 2009 —» AIMA Management Aptitude Test MAT September 2009(Mat is usually conducted 4 times in a year in February, May, September and December)

03 May 2009 —» Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test – NMAT (T) 2009

Nov 22,2009—–The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade – IIFT

NOV 27,2009(10 day span cos its online this time)—–CAT – Common Admission Test by IIM s

Mid December, 2009====JMET – Joint Management Entrance Test by IIT s for their MBA programmes.

3rd week of DEC 2009—–SNAP – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test

January, 2010——-XAT – XLRI Jamshedpur School of Management test

GMAT (management studies abroad)———can be taken at any time at the respective centres.

MTECH/MS :

08th February 2009 ——GATE conducted by IITs and IISc

GRE (for graduate studies abroad)

OTHERS

May 17,2009——Civil services preliminary exam

June 6,2009—Engineering Services Exam 2009

June 21,2009—-BSNL JTO exam

Nov 21,2009 —— IES/ISS exam

Combined Defense Services exam

Many exams would be missing.Do add the prominent ones that i missed out both in India and abroad…add as comments..will be helpful to many

    Hello Jibin, good work.

    IES is Indian Economic Service Exam. I dont think BTech students r eligible for that.

    We also have

    SAIL exam – July 19,2009
    GAIL exam – Aug 2,2009
    DRDO exam – Sep 6,2009
    ECIL Notification is out. Date of xm is not known.

    IES is not Indian Economic Service Exam. It is Indian Engineering Service Exam. so be correct shalini.
