SPEED UP UTORRENT FOR BSNL BB USERS

- Type in “http://192.168.1.1/” in the address bar of your net browser n enter the user name and password as “admin”
- Now under the “NAT” tab enter the dmz host address as “192.168.1.2″
- Save changes and reboot router
- Now go to control panel n take windows firewall, in dat click da exceptions tab, and click add port
- Now enter a port name and number as an integer between 50000 n 60000
eg: port name-55000 ; port number-55000 - click “ok”
- Now open utorrent and click on preferences
- In da connection tab enter the port number u entered in da firewall exception
- and disable randomise port
- Now go to the advanced tab, in it edit the value of the parameter “net.max_halfopen” and set a value between 50 and 100.
- Save changes and restart utorrent

did any one succesfully changed that…?? wen i tried system crashed… from my knowledge its nt possible to change max_halfopen unless system security being disabled by a patch available in net.. utorrent interface it will shows net.max_halfopen=*80(preferable any value..)
but wen i change it in bitcomet interface system crashed…
watz d max speed achieved by this trick in 2mbps adsl…???

hey…i was talking bout utorrent only, not any other clients….
i hav successfully did dat in utorrent…n i get a download speed of about 200-250kbps at peak tiime

i hav bsnl ul+ i get just 30-35 kbps

hmm i m tryin to go back to the 250 plan..i use the 750 plan nw…i mean its not at all profitable.. yes i am online for hours…but still u get no free calls etc…

by using default setting i get avg 225kBps…

yep UL 750 is damn slow!! planning to jump to 500 plan!!

hi guys….. I use bsnl home ul 750 unlimited package but my torrent speed is very low(~20kbps).I have tried the above settings but speed wont improve. I use windows xp.

please provide your line upstream/download rate rate…
also attenuation levels…
by default max d/load rate for ul750 is 30kBps…
torrent speed depends heavily on number of speeds.. are you trying good seeded torrents. and for good speeds always rely on private trackers.. you can find currently opened private torrents from http://www.trackerchecker.org/
use some of the best private trackers like zamunda.net , bittorrent.ro , torrentbits.ro , nordic-t.org etc..
are you getting 20kbps(kilo bit per second) or 20kBps(kilo byte per second)…

anyway here is the primary check…
did you disabled your windows firewall and antivirus firewall???(if your port is opened you get a green tick on torrent client)
